Fitzpatrick's Fitted Bedroom's first job in September was to design a fitted bedroom in an awkward loft space in Read, in the Ribble Valley, near Burnley in Lancashire. We truly maximized all available space here, by creating lots of storage under the sloping ceiling and fitting bespoke angled doors. We even added a stable-door effect door over one of the bedsides, so as not to waste any space! On the opposite side of the room, we fitted out the angled alcoves with shelves. This job was completed in Light Ferrera Oak in a PVC-edged door. |
Fitzpatrick's Fitted Bedroom's last project before the summer break in July was in Burnley, Lancashire. The fitted bedroom was designed for an extension on the property, whilst the building work was being undertaken. We used the builder's blueprints for reference and liaised closely with the customer and builder throughout the construction process, allowing us to be flexible when changes occurred.
The bedroom has been made in an Ivory Mitre frame Windsor door, with touches of Lissa oak for the worktops and feature wardrobe, to tie in with the oak lighting section on the ceiling. We incorporated lighting under the bridging unit, brushed steel sockets and light switches above each bedside, and we left a space for a wall-mounted television above the vanity mirror. "We extended our house to incorporate a much larger master bedroom. We had some ideas but we found it hard to visualise the finished look. Lee was so patient with us, making suggestions whilst incorporating our own ideas. The finished result really is beyond our initial expectations, which is so much down to Lee's hard work and vision. We feel very happy too that we got great value for money and particularly that the pricing process was absolutely transparent from the beginning - no sales talk, no hidden extras. We love our new bedroom and we will most definitely recommend Fitzpatricks to others." - Mr & Mrs Nutter, Burnley, Lancashire. July 2014
Fitzpatrick's Fitted Bedrooms had the pleasure of designing a large bedroom in Horwich, Bolton, in Greater Manchester, earlier in May. Included in the room is a vanity unit, complete with a mirrored door hiding handy shelving, plenty of drawers, sockets and spot-lights. Built into the same unit is space to mount a 32" television, with a hidden socket for power and also a HDMI lead to connect the Sky box, which has an allocated shelf below. See our internal and external pictures below - unfortunately the television hadn't arrived in time for us to photograph it in situ! The main part of the bedroom, surrounding the bed space, houses a bridging unit over the bed, which leads to single wardrobes on either side. Our customer chose to have deep shelves in their wardrobes but there are many other options for you to choose. There are two 2-drawer bedside tables, which have sockets and light switches mounted above. The sockets are ideally placed for alarm clocks, mobile phone chargers etc, and the light switches control the spot-lights and the soft-lighting panels above. Again, see our pictures below. The wardrobe area comprises of two wardrobes, one with single hanging and one with double hanging space. This bedroom has been made in Opera Walnut with a Shaker frame. "Truly bespoke and professional service. We now feel like we're in a posh hotel room rather than our pokey old room!" - L Fox, Horwich, Bolton, Greater Manchester, May 2014 Fitzpatrick's Fitted Bedrooms' last job before Easter was in Nelson, Lancashire, creating a wealth of storage in a master bedroom. The central unit is stepped out slightly to make a feature of the mirrored doors and drawers.
Our customers' choice of a Shaker mitre frame door in Opera Walnut with a key bar handle looks fantastic! Below are some photographs showing the internals and also once the doors were fitted. Fitzpatrick's Fitted Bedrooms recently completed another two-tone bedroom in Oswaldtwistle, Lancashire. This time the bedroom was a single, and included a headboard, bridging unit complete with down-lights, a bedside set of drawers and a large run of wardrobes. What's clever about these wardrobes though, is that they hide a chimney breast in the room, whilst all being uniform in their outward appearance. The pictures don't really do the work justice, but we have shown the internals and externals below. The work has been completed in an Opera Walnut carcass with a White Avola PVC edged door and keybar handles. This is what our happy customer had to say in their feedback questionnaire: "I know old properties aren't the best to work in as the walls are never straight, but the design work around the chimney breast etc was brilliant. I was completely satisfied with the finished job. Now planning the next bedroom and will be in touch!" - E. Westhead, Oswaldtwistle, Lancashire. February 2014 Fitzpatrick's Fitted Bedrooms were working in Clitheroe, in the Ribble Valley, at the end of January, completing a fitted master bedroom. The work included a bridging unit over the bed, complete with an angled door to fit perfectly into the sloping ceiling. The bedside tables both have brushed steel light switches and plug sockets, ideally placed for an alarm clock or phone charger by the bed. There is also a run of wardrobes and a matching vanity unit with essential hidden storage behind the mirror, and plug sockets, perfect for a hairdryer!
The doors are vinyl in the shaker style and the colour is Lissa Oak. Here are some photographs of the work... The first job of the new year for Fitzpatrick's Fitted Bedrooms was some fitted wardrobes and vanity unit in a master bedroom in Nelson, Lancashire.
Our customers wanted a modern look for their new wardrobes and vanity unit, and so chose a two-tone combination of an Opera Walnut carcass and White Avola for the door, in a durable PVC-edge. We maximised the customers' space by using the entire wall from the room entrance up to the start of the bay window, and they chose a great combination of hanging space, cupboards and drawers, as well as a central vanity unit fully equipped with lights. Fitzpatrick's Fitted Bedrooms' most recent project was in Read, in the beautiful Ribble Valley in Lancashire. We had the pleasure of working in a uniquely laid out property, which had a room with an angled ceiling leading down to a small entrance to the eaves.
Our customer, naturally, wanted to retain this access but wanted the space to be utilised for storage. Together, we came up with a design, using angled units which fulfilled the quota. It provided the required storage by providing 3 slim shelves, 6 deep shelves, and 2 hanging rails. The design gave easy access to the eaves, and, it looked great too! Our customer chose the board colour, Aida Walnut with a mitre-frame door, which beautifully complemented their wall colour. "From our first enquiry, Lee has conducted himself in the way that all providers should, but sadly don't. I was kept informed at each stage of the enquiry and subsequent job. Any questions I raised were clearly answered which was re-assuring throughout the contract. I am 75 years old and so can remember when the majority of providers behaved in the same way as Lee does now. Whilst Lee's work is of the highest standard, he is clearly constantly striving to improve the customer experience, and this is the secret of all good businesses." - B. Morris, Read, Lancashire Here are some photographs of each stage of the project. |
